Hyun-Wu Lee leads the Quality Management Systems team at Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre (GSC).
He oversees quality, accreditation, and information security programs that ensure GSC’s clinical and research operations comply with CAP, DAP, and ISO 27001 standards.
With a decade of experience in quality management and regulatory compliance, Hyun-Wu focuses on strengthening GSC’s quality framework through internal audits, risk management, and process improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of continual improvement and operational excellence. His work supports the GSC’s commitment to regulatory compliance, patient safety, and data integrity.
Hyun-Wu has been with the GSC since 2007 and holds a M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University.
