The GSC Collaborator Forum will take place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, beginning at 8:00 AM. The daytime program will be held in the Arbutus Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre (Broadway). The evening Poster & Networking Session will take place at Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre (GSC).

The Forum is designed for researchers, clinicians, trainees, industry partners, technology developers, and others interested in genomics, multi-omics technologies, and their applications.

Yes. Advance registration is required. Attendance is limited to 200 participants.

No, there is no registration fee for this event. However, if your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, please update or cancel your registration. This will allow others on the waitlist the opportunity to attend the Forum in person.

No, separate registration is not required. There is a checkbox on the registration form to indicate your interest in a GSC tour. If you forgot to select this option and would like to join a tour, please find someone on the day of the event, and we can add you to a tour.

Following the conclusion of the daytime program at 4:00 PM, we will all make our way to Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre (GSC) for the evening program.

Those interested in touring the GSC can join a small-group tour during the evening event. Tours will be announced periodically throughout the evening.

Sequence to Innovate (S2I) gives researchers an opportunity to propose a research question or project that could benefit from genomic sequencing and the expertise available at the GSC. Selected applicants will present their ideas during the GSC Collaborator Forum, and two winning projects will each receive up to $15,000 CAD in sequencing support.

Yes. Forum registration and the Sequence to Innovate application are separate. If you would like to attend the Forum and submit a project to the competition, please complete both forms.

We will hold a vote for the Sequence to Innovate finalists during the evening program at Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre (GSC).

Following the daytime program, we will walk together from the Holiday Inn to Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre (GSC) for the evening Poster & Networking Reception.
