The Genome Sciences Centre (GSC) operates under a permanent governance structure that ensures accountability, strategic alignment, and scientific excellence. As a program within the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), the GSC is guided by a multi-institutional Oversight Committee and supported by advisory bodies that shape its scientific direction and academic partnerships.

Oversight Committee

The Genome Sciences Centre operates under a permanent oversight structure approved by the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). Oversight is provided by a multidisciplinary Oversight Committee composed of representatives from PHSA, BC Cancer, The University of British Columbia, the Government of British Columbia, and Genome BC.

The Oversight Committee provides strategic direction, ensures accountability, and may appoint external experts as permanent or temporary members to guide specific priorities.

In addition, a Scientific Advisory Board comprising national and international experts provides guidance on scientific direction, while an Academic Research Council ensures alignment with academic standards and collaborations.
