We were honored to welcome Cynthia Johansen, Deputy Minister of Health for British Columbia, for a visit and lab tour at Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre (GSC).
During her visit, Deputy Minister Johansen met with GSC researchers and leadership to learn more about our role in advancing genomics-driven research and innovation. From high-throughput sequencing and technology development to clinical partnerships, the visit offered a window into how genomics is advancing medicine, driving innovation in environmental and agricultural stewardship, and supporting economic development in B.C. and beyond.
Thank you to Deputy Minister Johansen for taking the time to visit and engage with the important work happening at the GSC.
