Uninstalling IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms (SA MP) using the uninstallSAM uninstall script

You can uninstall IBM® Tivoli® System Automation for Multiplatforms (SA MP) using the uninstallSAM uninstall script that is included in the IBM Data Server install media.

Before you begin

Whether you use the DB2® installer or the uninstallSAM uninstall script that is included in the IBM Data Server install media to uninstall SA MP, you must meet the basic prerequisites for uninstalling SA MP. See: Uninstalling IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms (SA MP).

Run the uninstallSAM uninstall script
The uninstallSAM uninstall script is located on the IBM Data Server media at the following location:

db2/<platform>/tsamp


where <platform> refers to the appropriate hardware platform.

If you use the DB2 High Availability (HA) Feature with IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms (SA MP) as your cluster manager, the database manager uses scripts to support DB2 High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) functions. These HADR scripts are uninstalled automatically when you run db2_deinstall to uninstall SA MP. When you uninstall SA MP using the uninstallSam utility, then you must manually uninstall these HADR scripts.
