DB2 Version 9.7 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
After you install a DB2 Server product > Post-installation tasks > Partitioned database environment >

Enabling Control Center administration (Linux®)

Before you can use the Control Center to administer your partitioned database system, you must start the DB2® Administration server (DAS) on all computers.

To enable Control Center administration for a partitioned database system:

  1. In turn, log on to each computer (ServerA, ServerB, ServerC, ServerD) as the DAS user. In our example, dasusr1 is the DAS user.
  2. To start the DB2 Administration Server, run the db2admin start command.
